Vikki Mitchell

Vikki Mitchell is a native West Virginian and has been a passionate grower for the past 30 plus years. She has been a member of the Marshall University community since 2017 after a 20 plus year stint at Perennial Favorites Greenhouse as a grower and manager. This is where she learned the value of protecting the environment by using organic fertilizers and insect removal plus the harvesting and seed saving of heirloom plants.

Vikki earned her Regents BA from Marshall in 2011 plus an Associates in Business Management in 2007. Her roll at Marshall is Sustainability Assistant where she cares for over 10,000 square feet of garden and agricultural space, does regular inventory of crop yield data for grant programs, leads educational tours of the gardens and greenhouse for various student groups and organizations and manages and directs volunteers.

She is excited to join WV Clean Cities and Communities where she will lead events and outreach in the southern coal belt, collect alternative fuel data, and engage with existing and potential stakeholders.
